Description

Monolith is a carpet designed by Eileen Gray and produced by the ClassiCon brand. Made of 100% pure wool. Dyed with natural vegetable dyes. Hand-knotted with 80 knots per square inch (6,45 cm²). Horizontal and vertical lines of a vivid beige color cross each other without ever touching, creating a continuous movement on a dark grey background. The Irish designer came up with this design in the 1920s, at the height of her career, and today ClassiCon reproposes it in a refined and striking collection, a tribute to a pioneer of aesthetics. Monolith highlights the designer’s artistic work, carpets that are transformed into highly durable, high-quality works of craftsmanship.Made entirely of virgin wool, biodegradable material, and a renewable resource. The colour pigments are environmentally friendly and tested according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
