VLA62 Radio House mirror is a project published by Carl Hansen & Son, designed in 1945 by the famous architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Royal Retiring Room of the Radio House, in Copenhagen. Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects and Carl Hansen & Søn thus enrich their collaborations with new famous pieces by the architect. The mirror is part of the entire furnishings, designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen, of the royal chamber which overlooked the concert hall of the building, which is now the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Crafted from FSC™ certified solid oak for a more contemporary Nordic aesthetic, this full-length mirror is assembled from eight matching carved pieces to ensure the distinctive grain is continuous. Hand sanded for a smooth, tactile finish, a deep, concave frame features organic corners that almost hug the mirror.
