F51N is an armchair designed by Katrin Greiling and produced by the Tecta brand. Structure made of glossy lacquered ash with sharp edges. Upholstered in five vibrant textile combinations. In the fervour of the revolutionary 1920s, the founder of the Bauhaus, Walter Gropius, aspired to defy gravity and overcome the earth’s inertia, as demonstrated in his visionary F51 director’s chair. This chair, with its cubic design and suspended elements, embodied innovation in the concept of modern seating. Katrin Greiling reinterpreted the F51, playing with surfaces, colors and textures to breathe new life into this iconic piece. Using fabrics designed by Raf Simmons for Kvadrat, she created striking combinations that update the classic design to suit contemporary furniture.
