Smoke is a chair with armrests designed by designer Maarten Baas for the Moooi brand. This chair is a bold and creative reinterpretation of the traditional chair concept, skilfully combining aesthetics, history and craftsmanship. The most distinctive feature of the Smoke chair is its creation process. Maarten Baas took classic wooden chairs, burnt them and then reinforced them with a transparent resin, thus creating a new shape and structure. Each Smoke chair is unique, as the burning process creates unique effects on each chair, making it an authentic work of art. The seat and back are ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable seating experience with black leather upholstery, and the transparent resin gives the chair exceptional durability.
