Smoke Chair is an armchair designed by Marteen Bass for Moooi.Upholstered armchair with frame in burnt wood, finished with epoxy coating and fire-retardant leather. The production technique of Maarten Baas is rather complex: the designer retrieves tables and chairs 50 years ago, charing them in an oven. Then he covered them with epoxy, a thermoset resin that strengthens them and makes them pleasant to the touch . Each chair then becomes a unique piece.
