Designed by Gio Ponti in 1956-1957, D.357.1 bookcase is made of shaped multi-layered material with elm veneer with natural transparent finish and partly hand-painted in white. D.357.1 bookcase was part of the furniture of Gio Ponti’s private home in Via Dezza, Milan.This re-edition is based on the original drawings from Ponti archives and is elegant and still contemporary. Molteni&C renewed its attention for the masters of architecture and design with an exclusive new edition of a selection of items designed by Gio Ponti. A collection of furnishings selected after a long process of research and study on the prototypes, in cooperation with Ponti’s heirs and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati. The collection includes pieces of furniture and accessories designed by Gio Ponti between 1935 and the ‘50s.On request, this bookcase can be enhanced by the addition of a framed mirror.
