Untitled Rug is a precious piece of art produced by the Henzel Studio brand, created by artist Vanessa Beecroft. The Swedish luxury carpet company, founded in 1999, has created works of art and design by translating painting and collage into textiles, becoming one of the most innovative brands in the world today. Henzel Studio collaborates with many leading personalities and foundations in contemporary and 20th century art and has held exhibitions all over the world.Untitled Rug is a creation by Vanessa Beecroft, a performer known in the international contemporary art scene since 1993. She has shaped performance art, the representation of the female body and sociopolitical discussions about art. With her collaboration with Henzel Studio, Beecroft returns to the origins of her classical training by completely immersing herself in painting and sculpture, materialising her performances into objects. Also dominant in this piece is the presence of the female body, represented with a fleeting stroke and bold colours.This rug is in a limited series of 10 pieces + 1. All pieces are handmade, using age-old weaving techniques that make each carpet unique. Hand-knotted rug, wool, linen, mohair and silk, high/low cut 230 x 275 cm.
