Description
Parentesi is a suspension lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù, and produced by Flos. Proposed here in a version with a double light source. The Parentesi lamp by Flos is one of the most emblematic icons of Italian industrial design: it embodies formal minimalism achieved through a work of subtraction, through a creative process in search of simplicity. Initially conceived by Pio Manzù, who died in 1969 before completing the lamp, Parentesi was reworked and completed by the master Achille Castiglioni. The name of this lamp derives from and is inspired by the characteristic shape of the metal bracket, shaped like a ‘parenthesis’. This choice was not strictly aesthetic, but functional, and its important innovation lies in the possibility of moving the lamp with a simple gesture. A few elements come together to create a perfect lamp, characterised by the vertical movement of the luminous body through the sliding of a shaped steel tube placed on a steel cable, stretched between the ceiling and the floor. Ideal in an office, living room, restaurant or bedroom, Parentesi will bring elegance to any environment.Lighting source:2 x 150W E27 – 220/240v – bulbs not included – integrated dimmer – IP20
