Cassis Rug by ClassiCon is part of a collection of rugs created by designer Eileen Gray between 1920 and 1935. In addition to being one of the greatest design icons of the 20th century, Gray ran a studio where she conceived rugs based on her designs.Cassis Rug is named after the beautiful coastal town of Cassis, located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southern France, a place where Eileen Gray spent significant periods of her life. The colors of this rug recall the namesake black currant fruit, with a combination of terracotta tones, strawberry red, and dark brown and white geometric surfaces. Like a painting, the uniform color backgrounds are perfectly balanced to allow you to create a harmonious atmosphere warmed by vibrant colors. The soft and refined fiber is that of hand-spun New Zealand virgin wool. Thanks to its craftsmanship, this rug is will let you enjoy its impeccable quality.
