Klismos so defined the chair in ancient Greece that Antonio Citterio reinterprets it in a contemporary style for Knoll.For his first collection designed for Knoll, Citterio makes clear references to classic furniture, and combinations of materials inspired by Less is More, the result is? A design that restores modernity with contemporary elegance. For the seating collection Klismos has combined natural or black oak wood with the refinement of cotton weave. Slender lines and sinuous shapes embrace the user even in the wood-backed version. The different armchairs are perfect to combine with Knoll’s great icons, from Saarinen’s table to Florence Knoll’s sofa in a perfect harmony of modern and contemporary.The chairs come with a removable leather cushion, in natural color for the natural oak version and in black leather for the black stained oak version. The upholstery of the cushions is in natural material of vegetable origin.
