Betty TK5, designed by Thau & Kallio for & Tradition, is made of lacquered solid wood. The seat is hand-covered with natural linen. One of the results of their design collaboration is Betty, a new bench imbued with an old soul. Named after the Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen, originally built in 1857 and housed in a wooden pavilion, the bench thinks beyond the walls of the theatre and is the result of the duo’s fascination with the needs of any space for comfortable seating, regardless of its purpose. Its solid oak frame is available in two lengths: 105cm and 157cm. It is available in three contemporary colours – Twilight, Maroon and Black with black webbing – or as lacquered oak with natural webbing.
